The ArterialFlow System is an easy to use intermittent pneumatic compression device that mechanically compresses blood vessels in the patient's upper or lower limbs to increase arterial blood flow and improve circulation.
The ArterialFlow System uses soft, inflatable cuffs (much like blood pressure cuffs) made of lightweight, hypoallergenic fabric. The cuffs are snugly wrapped around the calves or forearm. A tube assembly connected to the cuffs is attached to the device that intermittently inflates and deflates the cuffs.
The system is designed to improve blood circulation in the legs or arms, as well as prevent and reduce complications of poor circulation. The ArterialFlow System is generally recommended for patient who have not achieved good results from previous medical treatments of their symptoms.
These conditions/symptoms include:
Moderate to severe peripheral arterial vascular disease.
Non-healing wounds in people with poor circulation in the legs or arms.
Small vessel disease.
Atherosclerosis with ulceration
Limb ischemia.
